Can I join in? If I don't stop talking about running all the time on facebook, my friends are all gonna be sick of me.
I just started running at the end of July, with the goal of the Disney Princess Half Marathon at the end of Feb. After really struggling all summer & not enjoying it at all, I'm really loving it now. Unfortunately, Nov is off to a rough start. I had a great 6.5 mile run on Friday, but on Sat, I stepped in a hole & hurt my ankle.
It's feeling much better, but I'm taking a few days off, just to be safe. I've got a 5K coming up in 11 days & a 10K in 17 days. I'd rather be healthy and ready for them than push myself this week and end up really injured.
So far on my race schedule, I've got:
11-16 - Dollywood 5K
11-22 - Thanksgiving 10K
12-9 - Santa Hustle, haven't decided if I want to try to half marathon or just to the 5k
1-1 - New Year's Day 5K
2-24 - Disney Princess Half Marathon
4-6 - Cooper River Bridge Run 10K
I'm tentatively thinking about training for a full marathon after the half. I've got a friend that just ran his first marathon, and it has me wanting to do one.
