Yes! Lifting weights is very good for you I started lifting when I was at my starting weight and I continued all the way down.

Lifting when you're overweight and trying to lose weight will help you keep muscle and lose fat.

yes hun i do it done it for 5 months now , ive lost over all 26inches and 2 stone.
You have to lift heavy and to failure to build muscle and burn the fat.
The best thing about lifting is by building the muscle you burn fat for 24 or more hours after exercise also you dont need to do much cardio , small bursts is all you need.

I love it would never do anything else now. I need to lose another 5 stone to get to goal and although i still have fat on me you can see the muscle definition coming through as i lose weight its deffo worth it x

I started lifting at 200+ lbs and continue to do so. While I don't look as good as Sontaikle (You look amazing btw!), I look pretty good for my age, 49.
