Hi JudyMH, AutumnAngel,Shyangel & Missymount and anyone else that wants to join the challenge of running! I start my 3rd week tomorrow morning and I am very excited! Hi Jennifer -- thanks for the support. I was a little under the weather this weekend. So I didn't do any running. I managed to walk 2 miles with my boyfriend to the store today though. At least I was able to get out. It's amazing how drained your body can be when you don't feel well. I'm feeling much better now though. I can't wait to get on the treadmill tomorrow -- it will feel good.

My personal goal for the week is to increase my jogging time to 7 minutes. I know I can do this! I know I can! I will let you all know how it goes.

Cmon you guys we can do it!

Hi AutumnAngel I am glad you feel better! I did a lot of walking Saturday I think my hubby and I went to every furniture store in town and in Sacramento....Heheee! Found a beautiful bedrooom set! That walking paid off. LOL I am going to try and run 1 mile and walk 2 miles when I get home from work. I hope it isn't raining here though!

I ran 1 mile while my hubby mountained bikes next to me and walked 2 miles with the neighbor dog I am watching. Whoohoo I feel good!

Way to go Jennifer! I decided to do shorter intervals with my running so I could get more out of it. I'm jogging 4 minutes walk 90 seconds, jog 4 minutes walk 90 seconds etc. for 30 minutes. That's what I did today -- I'm really proud of myself! A few weeks ago I could hardly jog over 1 minute without losing my breath. Whoohooo!

Hi! Do you use a stop watch of some kind????
Good job on your part! Your doing great!
When I started running I could bearly make it to the stop sign down the street w/o stopping. I do stop here and there to catch a breath but not like I did when I first started. I thought when I tried to run the first day that there was no way I could challenge myself to run a mile a day Monday thru Friday for 2 weeks, now I'm on my third week. Whooho! I tried to stay on track with activity as much as my schedule lets me.

I walked 2 miles today and mowed the front yard. Body was kind of sore, so I streatched really good tonight. It was beautiful today here in Ca!

HI, how are you? I want to start running. I have been telling myself to get up and do it, but then I give myself excuses to NOT run or even go on a walk. I used to run or jog often, but then stopped, and stopped all exercise. I put on a few pounds, and then a few more pounds, and then a few more pounds. So now I have to get back into exercising and dieting, or watching what I eat. I just don't know where to begin.
Yesterday I went out for a walk, only about 1 mile. And today, as soon as the rain stops I was going to head out on another walk.
How did you guys get started? I think If I can try to start off by walking, then I can gradually get into running.
Do you think it would be better to walk for a few weeks and then try to jog.
Well, you guys are a bit of insperation. Keep up the good work!!!

I just got done walking 2 miles. I haven't been wanting to run this week. I was doing so good but I think at least I am doing something. I feel good with just walking but I know I will lose faster if I run. Well hope all is well for everyone!

Yesterday I walked two miles. It is raining again today, so I don't know when I 'll be able to get out for a walk. I hope to do 2 miles agian. I should just put on a rain coat and go...

Hi Papes and everyone! I am really not being focues today. I did not run or walk and we just ordered Pizza. Ughhh! Well I am also trying to clean the house real well due to a party I am having tomorrow afternoon. I am excited b/c alot of people are coming over that haven't seen the house! Well I may walk tomorrow evening! Have a great weekend!

Sunday I walked 3 miles. Last friday I walked 2. I joined a gym!!! I am going this morning before work. I am hoping to have time after the gym to walk a few miles. Yesterday, I went to a dinner party, so I ate so much junk... I was doing good all week, I hope one bad day doesn't put me off track. I need to stay focused. Oh well. Have a good day.
