Default Fitness machine

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a fitness machine that I could use in my third floor apartment. I cannot consider buying a treadmill (as much as I would love to) because I do not want to bother my neighbours. Therefore, I am considering buying an elliptical trainer or a bicycle/spinner.

I have studied many reviews and it appears that buying anything under 1000 dollars would constitute a bad choice. However, I cannot afford to exceed 1000 dollars. I have read some horror stories about machines (bought for $700 in some instances) breaking after a month of heavy use

I plan on using it every day at least twice for an hour or more for at least 8 months a year when it is cold outside. Thus, I am lost. I would really like to have the option to have a fitness machine at home for the evenings I don't feel like going to the gym... I saw an add for a Schwinn 420 elliptical machine for about $600 and another one for a Schwinn bike for $300 (I know, too good to be true) and I am tempted to buy either of them.... I need something light and quiet that I could use every day. It seems like a lot to ask for my budget... I am wondering what does everyone think about this.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Have a wonderful day everyone

Hi!!

I actually just bought an elliptical machine and I absolutely love it. We live in a second floor apartment and I didn't want to make to much noise like you pointed out.

We took advantage of an awesome sale and picked up ours for a little over 400.. it was 60% off.

If you're Canadian than PM so I can give you some info about this deal!!

Our machine was regular over 1000.. it's definitely not the best one out there but totally suits my needs at the moment.

I also have a bike and i MUCH prefer the elliptical... biking doesn't get my heart rate going at all and the elliptical guarantees that I break a sweat!

Hello!

Thank you so much for your prompt response!
Yes, I am Canadian I would love to hear about the deal - I will send you a message. I think I will stop by Sportchek this evening to check out the machines I mentioned in my earlier post.

Have a nice afternoon and stay warm!
