Default Cardio with a leg injury ??

So....

I have been gone a while. Life got busy, I fell off track, and now I am back!

I have managed, through my new job, to hurt my quad muscle (went from a sedentary life, to walking about 6 miles a day), and my doctor has taken me off work for a week, and given me "rest" orders in an attempt to heal it. I had planned to get back on track on Monday, and am not looking for an excuse to not exercise...what I am really looking for is a way to incorporate cardio into my life for the next week, without using my legs.

Anyone have any ideas?

A lot of gyms offer a hand bike as an option. Do you have access to something like that?

Shadow boxing. Either standing on one leg, or in a chair. Lifting weights for your upper body would be good, too.

If you have a gym membership, a lot of gyms have arm bikes, basically a stationary bike you pedal with your arms. Great when you can't put pressure on a leg!

My gym doesn't have an arm bike Shadow boxing is a great idea! Yay!! If this ends up being a long term problem, I will have to sort something else out, but for now, even just 1 thing I can do is really awesome. Thank you!
