Default My walk has changed..feel like I need to re-learn how to walk?

I have noticed that since losing 30 pounds my gait is different when I walk..
I feel like I walk funny, kinda klutzy, like my stride is off or something.. Anyone else notice this?

I guess at my heaviest I kinda walked like this bunny .. I also notice a difference with my balance..like its just a bit off..how long does it take for your body to adjust itself?

Thanks for your imput

Omg you just made me laugh so hard! I imagine I walked like that also. Complete with the tuba noises with each step haha. I know exactly how you feel. Sorry I can't tell you how long it will last cause I don't know myself.

I remember when I was pregnant I was 200+ when I had the baby and lost the pregnancy weight I could not fit in any shoes I wore when I was pregnant they were all too wide and bent out of shape from the way my legs were bent carrying too much weight...

I can't answer your question specifically about how long it will take to get your balance back, but with each 30 lbs weight loss you will probably feel a switch in your gait... I noticed this on the contestants on Biggest Loser they walk differently when they are small, maybe it's because their thighs don't rub together, the fat is distributed differently too...

I'm sure in time you will feel more comfortable walking...

Also, maybe get new shoes would help some too your old ones are probably bent out of shape...
