We had cold, windy and rainy weather today, so I was relegated to the basement and onto the treadmill for my run today. I haven't been on the treadmill in months because I have been running outside. I got to thinking about when I was first running on the treadmill and looked back and found this post that I made in January of this year...

The first 2 minute run, I feel okay but start looking at the timer about about 1 minute in. At the second 2 minute run, I feel like it really sucks at about 45 seconds in. By the 3rd 2 minute run, I think I'm going to die by the time 2 minutes is up. The last one I am just counting the seconds and demanding to myself that I finish.
So to move on to anything more then 2 minutes at a time is completely daunting. I have done this for 3 weeks and expected that it would get easier but it hasn't. Do you think I am doing something wrong or do I just need to be patient?

I got a lot of good advice at that time. I was laughing at myself today, because I ran 3.25 miles in 36:30, running at anywhere from 5.3 - 6.0 MPH. I am still not a speed demon by any means, but it is somewhat amazing to me how much better my body has gotten in less then a year.
So if anyone here is still reading who has been struggling with running or any other exercise, take heart! Your body can and will adapt and change for the better!!
