Just to piggyback on what others have said, exercising helps create that calorie deficit for weight loss, but it has SO MANY other benefits as well. Posters have mentioned how good it is for your heart, muscles, bones, and how it can help the way your body looks as you continue to lose. For me, it is such a mood booster and stress reliever! I might not always feel great
during the workout, but there's nothing like the feeling after I'm finished. It's just awesome with all those endorphins rushing around! As someone who used to go
years between workouts, I now exercise 5-6 days a week- not because it's a chore I've assigned myself, but because it feels so damn good! I seriously think it's as good for my mental health as it is for my physical health
