Thanks Joy, I was trying to figure out why I didn't get your comment LOL! That would be quite the joy of marriage if it was DH that puked all over me! DS is doing great, thanks everyone for asking.

The uber long run is this Sunday. This week is a pretty big deal, it's the longest weekly milage I've ever run - 33 miles and the longest long run I've ever run - 15 miles. It breaks down as such 5/8/5/15. So today was 5. Nothing special, just your run of the mill 5 miler. Unfortunately my stupid period is due any second, it had better get here before my 15, I'll cry if I have to run with cramps!

Anywho, TMI happy running everyone!

FPSJ congrats on the <11 pace! Haha I know what you mean about other tickers being motivating- but I need to get my rear in gear because I've been at 123-124 for over a month now and really really want to get to goal!

ncuneo oo good luck! fingers crossed the cramps cooperate ^_^

shasha hope you have a great 5 miles!

So I just got back from the orthopedist/physical therapist. She gave me a very nondescript diagnosis that there were probably some damages to the ligaments/tendons around my ankle. She proscribed me an ankle strap and an enzyme tablet...?? I looked it up online and apparently enzymes to treat inflammation and infection are not endorsed by the FDA, but common in India. I can't find much info on this drug. It's apparently something of a natural herbal treatment.

So I haven't decided if I'm going to take it or not. I've lived overseas a lot and I'm still really really skeptical about the medical care in India... maybe more than I should be? :-/

Where is everybody????

Big 15 miler tomorrow. Not too nervous, although I've had some crummy runs lately and my pace has been pitiful so I'm hoping it's fun and not agony. The weather sucks right now too, but I'm gonna give it my all!

I'm here ncuneo! Just don't have anything to post since I'm on the disabled list these days :-D.

I have gotten virtually no exercise the last few days-- any amount of walking hurts my left foot. Will go lift today.

Ncuneo, good luck on your megarun!!

Thanks ladies! Well it's almost 5am I'm just waiting for DH to get home from his overnight shift so I can head out. I feel good and ready this morning, but the bad news is it's 90 degrees out and 44% humidity. I've told myself to just go with it and have fun. This isn't my first half, it won't be my last and 15 miles is above and beyond training so if it's too much there's no shame in cutting it short. I know I'm going to run out of water too because my water bottle is too small and doesn't stay cold.

Ok, here we go!

Ah! Where is the new August Running board?? I would start it but ncuneo, this is your baby, so I'll defer to you ^_^ ^_^.

Hope the 15 miles went well!

Still requiring a self-imposed hiatus for my foot. It's feeling much better. Hope to be back running next week.
