Music that motivates you to move!
Hello everyone!
I thought it would be fun to see what you listen to that motivates you the most while you excersize!
For me, when I am down and or and do not want to excersize at all, the first song I listen to is Bye Bye Blackbird by Nina Simone. It has a very gentle beginning and I walk to this while warming up. When the tempo picks up -- that is what I love the most! This song always makes me chipper!
It is hard for me to stay still to this song.
Would love to know what everyone else listens to!!

~Bruises by Chairlift.
~Bad Romance (a solid 5 minute song!)
~ Evacuate the Dancefloor
~The Killers...anything.
~What are you waiting for - gwen stefani
~Katy Perry
Those generally get me going when I'm a little slow...

Yesterday I was in the middle of my 25-minute stint on the x-trainer, a bit bored with the tv programme on, when Pixie Lott's Boys and Girls came on the loudspeakers. And then I could jack my heart rate up to something like 170bpm

Lately for me it's been Amerie's Love and War album.
Oh and from way back when she first started, the song "Gotta Work".

Bowl of Oranges by Bright Eyes is my favourite song to listen to while I'm working out. It's so cheerful without going over the top. My favourite line is "Your eyes must do some raining if you're ever going to grow.".

I've noticed several people already say this, but I have to chime in too. Lady Gaga for sure. Her music makes me want to dance and I love her entire Fame Monster cd, its mainly all upbeat and just fun to listen to. I especially enjoy: Bad Romance (try doing the dance moves she does in the video, they get you going!), Poker Face, Just Dance, Love Game, Paparazzi, Teeth, and a fun one is Beautiful, Dirty Rich. I also enjoy listening to Rihanna too, she has a lot of upbeat songs like Disturbia and Wait your Turn, I find very motivational.
GAGA AND RIHANNA!!

I guess I'm a little different. I have a play list of hard rock that I enjoy listening to while working out. It includes bands like Tool, Static-X, Korn, etc.
Although, I do have another playlist when I'm in dance music mood that has electronica (house) music including remixes of Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake, etc.

Right now I'm totally digging the song "Sexy Chick" by David Guetta f. Akon.
But when I work out I just listen to AOL Radio on my iPhone. They have a channel called Workout Tunes, it's all of today's Top 40 dance songs mixed w/workout beats. Plus the channel is commercial free, so I can for a solid hour and not have to mess w/my music.

I have 2 playlists also. One is more dance and hip hop and the other is Tool, Audioslave, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, STP, Rage Against the Machine, a bit of early Alannis, and A Perfect Circle . This is my fave playlist for weight lifting or cardio when I'm in a pissy mood.
