Jillian Michaels Last Chance Workout makes me feel SO unfit
 
So this is pretty pathetic. I did Jillian Michael's Last Chance Workout, day 1. I tried day 1 about a month ago but did not continue, so today I started again with day 1. It kicked my BUTT. I literally almost cried when it was over, I was breathing so hard. And the worst part? I couldn't even do most of the excersizes! I could barely even do the "beginners" versions. I'm 21 years old and healthy, for christs sake! What on EARTH? There were 2 girls on the video who were my size who were working out just perfectly fine and seemed to be having no problems at all! I can walk 8 miles a day every day for months, and yet I still cannot complete this video without having to sit down and catch my breath? How depressing :(

Has anyone completed this 30 day workout? My goal is to be able to complete day ONE without having to pause. Do you think that's doable in 30 days or will I have to do it over and over again? haha.


Sorry for being a downer- I just wanted some empathy!

IF you do it everyday it'll get easier! You can't expect to try something and be able to do it perfectly. Also I don't find walking to be that challenging doing a workout is completely different from walking. IMO. I hate walking haha. You also have to remember they are doing a video there for they pause and redo takes and replay takes over and a over again and take breaks before the next takes in order to make a perfect DVD.

I don't usually do workout videos, and I haven't tried any of the Jillian Michaels stuff, but I just wanted to chime in and say that you shouldn't feel too discouraged! Like Miztaccen said, walking is completely different from the video workout. It can be hard to switch between exercises/sports, even for the fittest people, especially when you change to something that uses a different muscle group or pushes your body in new ways. It doesn't mean you're unhealthy or that you can't complete it in 30 days; it just means that your body's adjusting to new expectations. Give it a week or so and it will probably seem a lot easier.
