Exclamation Best Exercise For You?

I saw this quote in Prevention Magazine's Weight Loss special publication. I thought it would be helpful to anyone trying to figure out what type of exercise they want/need to do.

"The best exercise is the one you'll do."

(Steven Blair, PED, professor of exercise science at the University of South Carolina.)

Sounds so simple, but it is so true.

Good luck!

I've heard this around the boards and I like it too. It's very true. It's all about sustainability, always.

I'm fortunate to have lots of favorites, all non-contact sports! LOL! Spinning, running, swimming, outdoor cycling, hiking...

So true! You couldn't pay me to go to a gym, but yesterday I hiked 4000' in the snow for 6.5 hours, and today I went cross country skiing for 2 hours.

So true! It's hard to hate exercise once you find something you really like doing.

I like variety. I have weights, tubes, DVDs, treadmill, bike, and go to classes at Jazzercise. I love having options.

So true. I can spend hours at taekwondo without ever realizing I've broken a sweat, but put me on a treadmill and I'm counting down the minutes.

Very true! I personally LOVE going to the gym, and I despise team sports. So yeah, as long as you are moving, getting your heartrate up, you're good.
