Ez 1,000 Miles In '11
Post it here if you want to set a goal of 1,000 miles in 2011
Doesn't matter if you walk or run it swim it bike it treadmill it or even scooter it....
it's EZ Less than 2.75 miles a day....even if you take a day off each week it's only a 5K (3.2 miles) a day....the important thing is that you do get out there and off that couch or out of that chair
heck, take a day off each week, give me 3 miles and I'll give you the .2 miles if you park further away at the grocery store, take the stairs, etc.....you know the drill.
Ok, so I have set this goal 3 years in a row now and haven't accomplished it .....but I have recorded 2,181 miles in the last 3 years....works out to an average of over 725 miles each year
Reaching the goal is important but it isn't the defining moment of my journey
that would be the effort I put into reaching it My effort has been about 75%....
as you can see from my miles
Have a great year on the journey to your goals

Angie and I started the New Year this morning taking the golden spoilers on their usual Saturday morning 3 mile walk...we skipped Starbucks though...not sure they were even open...since my lovely wife wanted her tea before we took off...allowing the sun to warm the chill in the air a bit...
3/1000 MILES

Outstanding NCUNEO....no reason why we southern Californians can't get a good jump on things with our great weather...since the rain of course!

I'm in!!!
3.4 miles yesterday, run with walk/cough breaks. I'm getting over a URI and I felt like an asthmatic porcupine, AND it was like 16 degrees! But I did it.
3.4/???? (I'll come up with a reasonable goal later)

Socal unite! Really I couldn't ask for a better place to live, there's never a good excuse not to be outside exercise, although the rain has been a little rough.
6 miles today - 989 to go!

3 miles today, much needed break tomorrow. I ran 4 days in a row this week due to some scheduling issues.
986 to go!

I'm in! I need to figure out how many miles I did last year, as I haven't bothered to add the last few weeks of December yet. Then I will set a more realistic goal.

8+ miles yesterday, 3ish miles today. I'm somewhere around 16 miles for the year, but I won't know until I upload my runs from my GPS to my computer at the end of the week. Yes, I'm too lazy to do the math on my own.

At first I thought
"HECK YES! That sounds GREAT!"
Until I read that basically I have to do several miles every single day.
And then I thought
"...ugh..."
And THEN I realized...
"...that's probably why you've been on 3FC yet the same weight for three years..."
And then I SAID -
"...where did I put my shoes..?"
