I used to do 20 or 30 mins on the treadmill, and then get on the epiliptical just because I lost more calories when combining the two.

I just noticed this thread, Slim CB
! Thanks for letting me know.
I did this program last year, but I built up on my own between walking for two minutes and then jogging for one minute. I eventually decreased my intervals to where I was jogging more. I was training for a 5km at the time. I have a good friend who completed this program and he lost 30 pounds. I believe it to be a great program for beginners.
I haven't jogged in eight months or so and have been speed walking over the last few months. I'm at the point where I want to start jogging because I don't feel my heart rate elevating that high when I walk. I can't wait to begin this program again and see the weight peel off. Combining a healthy diet and exercise is the best way to see results. Last year I was eating a lot, and still lost some weight (which was surprising).
Great to see that others are doing this program and seeing results. I remember how agonizing it was for me to build up to any steady jogging. Jogging is not easy for those that are not used to it. I almost killed myself when starting out
. I'm curious to see how I will fair getting back into running and perhaps it won't take me that long to build up to what I was doing almost a year ago. I'll see how it goes. Starting the program in three days.
