Yesterday I ran in -25c/-4f with the windchill, it was bright and sunny, super gorgeous day, I absolutely love this type of running more than any time of year.
Here is what I wore: Wicking layers touching your skin...
1. a snug fleece lined wick away type of hoody
2. a very light jacket
3. a running windbreaker jacket
4. my pants are a fleece lined, but the front of them have windbreaking material, I can't feel the wind on my legs at all... this is also a wick away type of pant...
5. a baseball cap with a head band and the hood of the hoody on top of it all
6. a light neck warmer that I bring up to my chin made of wick away material again
7. mitts that the wind does not go through and are again made with wick away material...
8. winter running socks
9. my regular running shoes...
.... Next time I go out I'll take a pic and post it ....
The girl I run with had two light long sleeved tops with a windbreaker, thick gym pants and a baklava type of head gear on her head and mitts. The only thing that was cold were her toes and this was because she had a too large pair of COTON socks that made her runners too tight and prevented good circulation...
We had a fantastic run!!
