Default 500 Miles by Christmas!!

Can you go 500 miles by Christmas?
I think I can.
Running or walking it's up to you but let's track our miles and see how far we can go.

lupin....you so funny!!! lol. I know that starting today, from May 21st to Dec. 21, we'd have to do 71.43 miles a month. Now...if you chose to jog/run/walk every day...assuming you do this 7 days a week, 30 days a month, faithfully, you'll need to do 2.39 miles. Thats not so much but i can be if you don't do it every single day. I guess i may be cheating if i count my 43 i've already gotten in. But i do know for one, that i am not going to be excersizing 7 days a week from now until christmas. Matter of fact, i am taking today off and getting back at it tomorrow and friday. Hopefully saturday too. But 4 miles seems to be my goal these days. Wish i could get back to 5 but maybe i was going to strong, too far, too fast.

Well I'm 17 and have NEVER ran ever, its just sooo easy to avoid.
But as I'm planning to be absolutely gorgeous by next year my mum ever so kindly got me a treadmill so I can hop on and off when ever I fancy instead of having to look presentable and run round the neighborhood with nosy neighbours everywhere, which means 3 miles a day isn't too hard as I can just watch 2 episodes of friends and walk fast , pretty simple.
Its just buiding up the ability to jog for longer than 4 mins at a time, I WILL do it
When I can jog for 30 mins straight comftably I'll be straight out the door to show off my new skill :-D

-3 miles-ish done....cos my treadmills in kilometers so I think its a bit over as I walked to 5, although I'm not the best at maths :s

Oh heck, count me in on this one, too! Tom (my wonderfully supportive SO) bought a treadmill this week to replace the elliptical trainer we decided to give his sister AND bought me a GPS to mount on our son's stroller for Mother's Day so I think I might be able to pull off 500 miles by Christmas without too much of an issue.
If you had asked me if I thought I'd be able to do the same thing 2 weeks ago I would have laughed!
Time to update tickers!!!

That sounds like so much fun!!! Can I come??? The only farmers market out here would be about a 3-4 mile walk one way, I think .... but not a very pedestrian friendly one in places and CERTAINLY not a stroller friendly one

Hmmmm ... maybe I GPS would be able to find a nicer route than the one I did pre-Johnny.

It's time to start exercise, so count me in.
I will challenge my dh and see if he wants in, too.
A friendly wager might keep us both on track.

wow...welcome everyone!! Okay...so i changed my ticker to reflect the first day of the new challenge being posted. I haven't actually walked/jogged these 4 miles, but i am going tonight. And i won't be back on the computer until Tuesday of next week to post any other walks/jogs. So..i'll post the rest on Tuesday. Good luck to everyone on hitting 500 by christmas. I know we can do it!!!
