Default buns and thighs

I need effective ways to tone my buns and outer thighs, that aren't lunges! I am pear shaped and even though I'm close to losing 20 lbs, I've just become a smaller pear! Anyone have tips to smooth out my outer thighs mostly? I have these fat pockets that after all this weight loss, won't seem to quite go away! I'm not a member of a gym, so I'd be doing these on the lovely floor of my apartment =]

thanks in advance!

Try laying on the floor in the fetal position with your legs bent at a 90 degree angle and support your head upright with your arm. Lift your leg parallel from the one on the floor but make sure you don't roll your hip back.. its all about isolating that area. Rep about 20 times.

If you do it right you'll have a really deep burn in your buns.

Unfortunately, you can't lose fat from one area. If you could, I would be doing 3000 crunches to get rid of my belly. If it's fat pockets you're worried about, the best thing to do is to get rid of the fat. Clean up your diet, work out with some resistance exercises, and do plenty of cardio.

For inner/outer thigh exercises - do you have any resistance bands? The ones that I know how to do all use resistance bands. Here are some videos:

From one pear to another---once a pear always a pear---just smaller

You can tone up the muscles, but if you're prone to store fat there, the only way to get rid of it is lose the fat. Unfortunately, that's where our bodies want to store it.
You might want to read the book Apples and Pears by Marie Savard , (drsavard.com). Check your local library.
There are a few advantages to being a pear vs an apple shape
