Wow, all this time I've had fun listening to my favorite songs on video on You Tube, and it never occurred to me to make an "Exercise" play list with all of my fast paced songs that I enjoy and do in home walking/dancing to them!
So, this weekend, I made two play lists- one with fast music for in home walking and dancing, the other with more mellow music to do floor work, to which I plan on starting today. I made the fast music video list a long one, so I wouldn't have to stop every half hour or so and click "play all videos again."
I was so into watching my favorite artists/groups, that I completely lost track of the time and how far I was going on my Omron pedometer- I managed to walk a full seven miles without stopping in one session, and I walked a total of 12 miles yesterday just from doing this alone.
It's so much fun to watch the videos, you forget how fast you're going, and I even found myself trying to learn some of their dance moves while watching them, just for the fun of it.
Oh, and it's FREE!!!!!!!! You can also make as many playlists as you want, and if you really, really love a couple of songs, add those videos a couple of times to your playlist. I have a loooooooonnnnngggg play list with music from the 70's to the 90's.
I posted this also in the Weight Loss Support board, thinking it might help someone out to get more exercise in.
