Hello! For ages, I've been meaning to start running. I posted a while back asking if anyone knew of an ease-into-it plan and some great person referred me to the Cool Running's website which was just what I was looking for. Well, I finally dragged myself out of bed and had my first session today! I thought it was going to be a piece of cake; it was a wake-up call to realize that even alternating between running 60 seconds/walking 90 seconds was TOUGH; my calves thought they were going to die.
I've run in the past and got up to some good distances but always did too much, too fast and got burnt out. It's taken me years to try again and I'd been putting it off for so long, it was just a huge thrill to actually START today!
Thanks for reading!
