good abs workout?
When I put on my weight, I also developed a nice little belly pooch! It's not bad when I'm standing up, but when I bend over it's really noticeable, almost like it's saggy. My question is, can anybody recommend any good ab exercises? I know I need to keep my cardio up so I keep shedding fat. I throw in my pilates abs video a couple times a week, and I do a different abs exercise in each of my workouts, but was wondering if anybody could clue me in on something I hadn't thought of yet.
Thanks guys! |
Strong abs are important- but the belly pooch is fat. Clean eating and cardio, resistance training to build muscle are your weapons. There are lots of great abs exercises, but no one exercise will get rid of belly fat.
Crunches, reverse crunches, weighted crunches, v-ups, lots of general weight work on a stability ball or bosu, hanging crunches, planks, side planks, pikes, rollouts, Russian twists, leg and hip-ups, etc...all build strong abs. Losing the fat helps you see them ;) Mel |
