Default walking milestone

Yesterday I walked a half marathon. 13.1 miles in 2.5 hours. I felt pretty darn good after that. A little sore, but good. I'm headed out today to walk about 5 or 6 miles. If I do another 13 again today, I'm not sure I'll walk much after that.

Just thought I would share. What a great feeling!

Thanks...I had worked my way up from 3 miles to 5 miles to 8 miles and then last weekend I walked 10. So 13 wasn't that much of a stretch, but it had been almost a week and I probably only walked about 2 times this week and about 2 - 3 miles only per time. So my body wasn't used to the prolonged walking. I walk about 3.5 to 4.0 miles an hour. Which I didn't think I could do without running, but I learned otherwise. I can jam!

I want to be able to do a full marathon by fall. We'll see though.

Great Libby! You're gonna need a lot of new shoes between now and the marathon!
