Default What does "Basal" mean on the Fitday?

Can someone explain to me what the basal and lifestyle portion of activity mean on the Fitday site? I totally do not get it.

Thanks!

Basal is supposed to be what your body uses every day just for existence.
Lifestyle is supposed to be how many calories you use doing your typical activities.

They're both debateable ... um ... wonky. Fiddle with it until you get a number that better represents what's really happening.

Keep asking questions we'll help you
