Default All in one chunk or spread throughout the day?

I'm just curious as to how the rest of you do your cardio.

Do you do it in large chunks at a time, or do you spread it through the day?

For about the past 2-2 and a half weeks I've been doing 30-45 minutes on the treadmill in the morning, and then about the same at night. At first I felt great, but now my body is starting to tell me "NO NO NO!" So today I haven't touched the treadmill at all, I did my Dance Off The Pounds tape.

So how do you guys do it? What's your method? Teach me oh wise ones!

Splitting up your cardio depends mostly on your schedule. I go to a gym, and I know I can't get there twice a day. So I do a full cardio routine in the morning. Any walking or activity later on in the day is a bonus.

What kind of cardio were you doing twice a day. If you were doing two fairly intense sessions, your body will rebel. If you were doing one intense and one moderate, that's not so difficult on your body.

It could be that you are getting used to the routine and just need a break. Doing something different is the same thing. You are still active, but it's not the same old, same old.

Hope this helps...

I've had good success doing it twice a day this year...however, i do have to bring my dog. we run/walk twice a day, it averages to about an hour and a half generally and then three or four days a week I've added 20 minutes of cardio at the gym when I go to lift weights. Some days I really don't want to do it but since the dog has to be at least walked for half an hour twice a day I end up getting out there. Plus I don't feel bad about not having time (or the inclination) for the 2 hour gym workouts i used to put myself through.
