I'm thinking of getting the Shake Weight. Does anyone have this and tried it and what were your results? I have alot of flab under my arms that I need to shed.

Personally I would not spend my money on it.It doesn't give you any different results and regular weight lifting can. There are lots of exercises you can do for under arm flab.

Well I hope my mom doesn't buy it as I told her I wanted it, lol. I read on several sites from people that the Shake Weight did in fact work for them. I dunno, I only have 2lb weights and the Perfect Pushup, and my Wii Fit Plus and Gold's Gym Cardio Workout, but that's it. I'm looking for equipment that will strengthen my arms most of all because I am not strong AT ALL, and soon I won't be able to pick up my nephew if I don't gain some strength.

Someone may also have commented on it in the Does it work forum.

Push ups, bench dips, would be better alternatives than buying the Shake Weight... here are some examples of exercises you could do some with body weight only some with bands or weights...

Every time I hear about the Shake Weight, I just giggle! Ever since Ellen had it on her show, it just makes me smile every time. At this time, I don't have an interest in buying it.

Dirty Santa game this Christmas, I ended up with a "Mens" Shake weight the 5 lb version that claims 6 minutes a day is all I need to do... Well I've done it a few times (felt the burn in my upper body)... it was "free", so thinking of giving it a go... However I'm a bit skeptical, as It seems to contradict what I learned about weightlifting, not jerking weights etc...

I'm interested in people takes on it.. who have used it ...

The marketing is the only thing effective about the product in my opinion. I laugh whenever I see the picture of the impressively sculpted man using it because you just know that he didn't get that way by shaking a weight around for six minutes. I'm sure the one for women is just as bad, remember you can't decide where you want to lose the weight so this won't help you with your arm flab anymore than jogging would.

I bought the one for men but rarely use it. Truthfully it probably does work because it burns like ****, I just find it to be awkward. I use my 5p hand weights more.

I have a Shake Weight for the same reason, stupid arm flab. But save your money because it doesn't work as well as the hype.

I wonder if you ended up getting one? I heard that they can cause serious back problems sometimes, or at least hurt your back muscles rather than help build them along with your upper body.

Seems more like a marketing gimmick!
