Default DDR for working out.

Hi everyone =D

I was thinking about getting a ddr game and some pads for my PS2 and using that for my cardio for a while.

Has anyone had any experience with using DDR to work out? What games did you get and did you like them? One thing I'm really worried about is the DDR pads not working well because the only room available for me to work out in has carpeted floors...Has that been a problem for anyone before?

Input would be greatly appreciated!

Hello!

I own a set of pads and the game and I love it! However, I'm not good enough at it to make it my workout. I do work up a sweat though, and the carpet thing is not a problem (mine are on carpet too). Good luck!

DDR is my personal favorite game to work out. I end my sessions with my heart pounding, and unlike games like EA Sports Active or Wii Fit where I count the minutes to the end, with DDR I find that I get so engrossed in meeting each challenge that I'll go way over half an hour!

I agree it gets REALLY hard, but I just keep it on "moderate" and I'm a happy camper

yeah i had a roomie that would sweat up a storm. Remember to bring towels to wipe the sweat. Sweat can damage the pad

I'm quite late to jump in on this but I used DDR a few years ago (when I was learning) and lost about 7-10 lbs. I play on Heavy or Expert now and find myself having to take lots of breaks but it is so much fun! I actually prefer to use my pad on carpet, but that might be because that's how I started playing.
