Default Exercise bikes and noise

I just got a Schwinn 231 recumbent today. It was a floor model and already assembled. When I start pedalling, there seems to be some rattling/knocking noise and then it seems to go away. I have not done a full workout on it yet.

Is this normal? Or should the machine be totally silent?

I can call and ask the store, but I'm looking for some more diverse input and I couldn't find much online.

Thanks!

I could just be the belt warming up, I don't know much about exercise bikes, but the ones at the gym I go to always seem to make a kind of clattering noise when someone first goes onto them, maybe you should call the shop just incase but I'm sure it's nothing
