If you are looking for a treadmill to support up to 350 pounds, most low end models are NOT going to hold up. I'd suggest looking for a used or reconditioned club machine. I have a used Star Track 9500 which I purchased from a wholesaler who buys used gym equipment and reconditions and resells it.
Check your local craigslist or the newspaper classifieds.
Same for ellipticals- the less expensive ones are usually rated up to 250 pounds, and even with a relative lightweight on it, my inexpensive Nordic Track elliptical didn't last very long
