Default Ninja Blender?

Saw the TV advertisement for the Ninja system today. Is it really as good as it says? I read some reviews on Amazon and people were saying theirs broke down after a few months. Or the blades went dull really quick. Or the pitchers cracked and leaked. That it didn't make smooth smoothies and couldn't juice worth a darn. And that their warranty was horrible. People were saying to just pay the extra money and get a vitamix. If we decide to invest in something, what should we get? The ninja looks nice cause it's also a food processor and can mix dough and other stuff. Not sure what to do.

Got the Ninja Master Prep a few days ago and can't wait to use it for home made Frappi's.

Bought a Ninja Professional Series a month ago. Came with large pitcher, smaller pitcher for food processing and 2 individual serving cups. Cost $199. I use it 2-3 times a day and love it! It tackles the hard to grind stuff really well. Clean-up is super simple since the blade comes out. Just rinse everything off quickly. It does have a lot of safety mechanisms that have to be in place before it will will run, but that is fine with me.

I have a Ninja and really like it. We have had it for over a year and use it several times a week. It's held up well, and the blades are still quite sharp (I sliced my finger on one yesterday!). The only thing that I do not like is that it is taller than the space I have on my counter, so I keep it in a cabinet. I would probably use it a bit more if I could set it out. Small issues!

I have both a Ninja and a Vitamix. The Vitamix is head and shoulders above the Ninja. I would absolutely recommend the Vitamix.

I have heard many positive reviews about Vitamix. However, to cough up the $500 for it was not going to happen in my budget.

I have bought the Vitamix and just love it. We got ours at Costco for almost $150.00 less.

It is so worth the extra money.

On a side note the one I have is too large for under the counter also.

We make orange creamicycle everyday...

1/2 c greek yogurt
1/2 c skim milk
1 orange
squirt of orange creamcycle zero cal.
6 ice cubes

blend just like an Orange Julius

Have had a Ninja system for 4 or 5 years and love it - I use it all the time, and have never had any trouble with it and the blades are still very sharp!

I got the Nutra Ninja from QVC, orchid TSV it has 3 sizes of blending cups w it.

I've used it 4x this week & I really like it a lot making Green smoothies w adding fruit

I didn't read the instruction/destruction bk prior to using it the 1st time. I put a handful of uncut spinach in it w some almond milk & fruit & pulsed it. It was bad, the spinach leaves weren't emulsified, just a ragged-mess unfit to drink or eat.

Ok, it pays to read the book Because I should've torn those Big leaves or given the spinach leaves a rough chop & put them in the container last

To correct my Blunder w/o making a mess, I dumped my disaster into a bowl & poured some milk into the container & added 'only the uncut spinach mess' & pulsed it to chop it up & added my fruit back.

It was so delicious - creamy - thick & I didn't have any appetite to eat my potato chips.

So I learned a Lesson

I purchased the Nutri Ninja 2-in-1 when it was on sale at Walmart for $69.99.

I had a tough time deciding if I wanted to spend the money to purchase a blender as I had a little Magic Bullet set. When I found the 2-in-1 I was so thrilled that it had a food processor section which was what I didn't want to give up with the Magic Bullet.

Probably the BEST purchase I have made in years!

I use it mostly to make a green smoothie for breakfast every day. I have used the processor section to make hummus so far and it was fantastic... better than store purchased!

The only downside I have personally found with it is the drink to-go cups are too small for the recipes I make. I need 24oz cups and these are only 16oz. I typically drink 1 before I go to work and bring one to work with me.

Hi Mrs.Clayton, u can buy the bigger cups at their website & on Amazon.com. Mine has all 3 sizes. The biggest holds enough smoothie drinks for 2 big snacks, or 2 smoothie meals. The smallest makes a pudding size snack

I got the Ninja Master Prep on Amazon for ~$35 when our previous blender broke a few months back. Absolutely love it. The smaller container is perfect for making my daily smoothie. Would definitely recommend it!

Version I got is here http://www.amazon.com/Ninja-QB900B-M.../dp/B003XU3C7M

I love my ninja. I mostly use it for shakes/smoothies, but I have used the food processor a few times. I have even used it for cookie dough!

See how much you use it. I love my Vitamix, which I got after going through a couple bullets (they seemed to break every year, but for the price you can't really complain.) Refurbished ones are also an option.
