Holistic weight loss. Hip or Hype? My husband said he spoke with a lady that said she knew of a Holistic diet plan that puts your body in a similar state to when you are pregnant. Your body burns calories at a rapid rate and your energy level is through the roof. You can lose a lb. a day!!!
I'm more than skeptical. Thoughts? Holla

Well I don't know about anybody else, but I've had 4 pregnancies and my energy level wasn't through the roof nor did I burn calories any faster than normal. But maybe I'm in the minority.

Hype. I know exactly what the person is talking about and its not hollistic in any way. You eat 500 calories/day so you lose. It also isn't a diet plan we support here at 3FC.

That was my thought nelie. I was frustrated when he mentioned it because I thought to myself...... Do you not understand I'm doing all the things I can for a healthy weight loss and you're filling my head with DREAMS of a pound a day weight loss. Frustrating.

That upsets me. I wish people could realize you CAN lose weight by eating right, smaller portions, working out, being HEALTHY. ugh Mini rant but my friend is always talking about these lose weight fast tricks and it drives me nuts!!

I haven't done it, but know people who did. It works because it's a drastic calorie reduction to 500 calories, although supposedly taking HCGC makes it where you aren't hungry.

However, my doctor says that she has seen people who go on this diet have their cholesterol go SKY HIGH - AND it does NOT come back down after they go off the hormone. They end up having to go on meds.

IMO, based on that, it's not safe and I wouldn't do it.
