Default Calorie Cycling?

I saw this mentioned in another thread and am intrigued. Has anyone had success with this? Pros,cons? How exactly does it work? For example, if my caloric intake is supposed to be 1800 per day, would I have 1800 one day, 1300 the next, then 2200 the day after that?

The most common calorie cycling I see is in increments of 200. If you're aiming for 1800 calories overall, you would eat 1600 one day, 1800 another, and then 2000 so your average calories for those 3 days would add up to 1800. It helps if you're having a plateau to try because (from what I read) it keeps your metabolism up and won't let your body settle into a plateau.

I don't know that I would go as low as 1300 calories if you're looking to average at 1800 because that might be little food for you and you could end up hungry or over eating on those days. You could try 1500 - 1800 - 2100 to start and see if you're ok with 1500 or not and if it's good.
