I've used ths as a supplement and as an ingredient in other vitamin supplements. There isn't any effect you will notice. It's an ingredient in the "daily vitamin for weightloss" that I take (a generic for the One a Day product). Research indicates it may be helpful in insulin metabolism, not a lot of evidence that it boosts weight loss significantly, and some indication that it might pose health risks in large doses.

I have taken chelated cromium and found it definately had an effect on me energy-wise, but didn't realy efect my wieght on its own. After I started on a lower carb diet the extra cromium made me nausious. There is evidence that cromium helps if your eating a high carb diet or are insulin resistant, but if you'r eating healthy you probably don't need it.
