Red face I had one!

Yes, I had one of those on the inside of my left wrist, where my watch band would go. It was maybe the size of grape. People told me to smack it with a bible and it would go away (old wives tales). But one night at work, I shifted my weight in my chair and felt an odd burning, tingling sensation in my arm. I thought I'd just hit my funny bone or something. I later noticed the thing was gone. I'd had it for years and was surprised to see it just dissapear. That's been at least eight or nine years ago (maybe longer) and it's not come back. Mine never hurt though. My doctor mentioned a cortisone shot for it, but I've heard that may be painful and not always successfull. I'm not sure I've been much help, but I thought I'd put my two cents in.

I had a ganglion about the size of a golf ball on the top of my right wrist. I had it removed in Jan. 96, it came back and I had it removed in Jan. 97. It came back again and I had it removed in Jan. 99. The last surgery was done by a hand specialist. It has not come back. Mine was pretty painful. The doctor's said mine was from having broken that arm twice. I'm not sure if they can have anything to do with weight or not.

*On a side note, Java, this is getting creepy. We have too much in common.
*On another side note, every time I try to post 911 rings and all **** breaks loose. I'm only posting from home from now on...

I had one on the outside of my wrist as a teenager. (It's grown back but it's not as troublesome as it was.) I had it removed, it was a pretty simple outpatient procedure from what I remember. Mine wasn't as big as yours sounds, it was just uncomfortable before it was removed. Sorry, it was so long ago, I don't remember much about the recovery. It must not have been difficult, or I would have remembered that.

Java, I was also told to lay my arm out on a table and let someone drop a Bible on it. I had a cousin who claimed it worked for her years before and she was always volunteering to help me get rid of mine.
