I have been hypo for about 9 years and it seems to be doing well with the dosage of levoxyl I'm on right now. Question is a friend of mine at work is
wanting to do a diet buddy thing with me and she is always buying me soy
protein shakes. I've heard before that soy can affect your thyroid and since
my next doctors appointment isn't tii Feb. 14th I was hoping one of you great

Avoid soy more than once or twice a week. It inhibits your thyroid and meds. A great website is www.thyroid.about.com. Other foods, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower (anything in that family) can also affect it if you eat them raw.

Thanks Quilter, I thought I remembered that and it really is a shame cause
those shakes are really tasty. My gosh but you've sure done fantastic
i hope that I have half the will power you do. So far the scale has really
frustrated me it hasn't budged however I can tell that I'm feeling better
so I'm just trying to look at the positives. Thanks again Ravismom
