Default Weight loss after injury and job switch

Hi, guys.
I have one problem and I will appreciate your advice.
I'm a former athlete. After my ankle injury I was forced to quit with exercising and then my weight struggle began. I could manage in the beginning, but after I got office work, my weight rocketed up to the 210 lbs (I'm 6'1''). Do you have any diet plan or tips I could use?
What about Paleo, TLC or Mediterranean diet? Is any of them effective?
Thank you in advance.

I'm not an expert, but I wonder if your weight gain has anything to do with your metabolism? I'm only speculating because a lot of athletes become overweight when they retire. Have you tried doing exercises that don't strain your ankle? I'm sure there are exercises you can do from a chair?

I would suggest speaking to a doctor to find out of it's related to your metabolism and what you can do to counteract it.
