Default Restless Leg Syndrome

Anybody lose weight with RLS or know someone who has?

If so did it help reduce symptoms of RLS?

I used to have RLS symptoms at night. I did start to exercise and lose weight and haven't had the symptoms in a few years but I feel this has more to do with the regular exercise than the weight loss.

It used to keep me up at night. I lost weight a couple of years ago (put some back on) and it hasn't been anywhere near as bad. I did notice that if I haven't walked in days or if I've been more sedentary than usual (when the weather gets really cold) I have night twinges, but nothing like I used to.

Ah thanks for the info, it will be great to share with my mom. I am trying to help her motivate to lose weight. She has been heavy for some time, developed sleep apnea and diabetes...as well as RLS. She sleeps for crap, eats at night....says she has stomach problems so she feels better when she eats (she is on a lot of drugs..plus she has diverticulitis)...any other suggestions?
