Health Insurance Help!

K ladies, I have received great help from this site in the past...really need help now.

I recently lost my COBRA coverage due to the person responsible for making payments being unable to "remember" to pay the bills for several months. The coverage officially terminated August 1, 2008.
I have multiple pre-existing conditions that I take medicines for every day but don't need more than once a year doctor visit. (hereditary high blood pressure, birth control, acid reflux meds, meds for post gallbladder surgery relief, migraine preventative) I know it sounds like a lot, but aside from the medications I rarely see the dr more than every 6 months.

I have been turned down for individual coverage 6 times now due to these conditions. Anyone know of any other resources to obtain insurance? These meds cost about $600 month that I don't have.

Thanks for reading, please ask family/friends if they can give advice I'm really stressing out on this.

have you checked with any state or local agencies, free clinics, local doctors etc.?

if you only see the doc every 6 months, im guessing the insurance is more for prescriptions than for office visits. correct me if im wrong, please

check with the places listed above, they may be able to help

have you thought about a medical discount plan? It's not insurance, it's just a discount plan for thing slike dr. visits, labwork, and meds. My DH and I used it when we were finishing up college and didn't have health coverage. for both of us it was under 50 bucks a month and it was cheaper prescriptions.
This is the company we used:

Mods, if I wasn't supposed to link that, please delete and I will pm it to the OP.
The customer service reps were very helpful.
I also had pre-existing conditions.
It's something to look at anyway. I rarely went to eh dr. but was on several meds at the time.
edit: I just wanted to add that you should thoroughly explore all your options. Whether it be insurance or discount plan or whatever, read the fine print.
