Default Does anyone have Myasthenia Gravis?

Just wondering if anyone here on the forum has MG?

I was diagnosed with it March 06 after severe double vision sent me to the hospital. I am on Mestinon (4 a day) and recovered from the double vision but have the fatigue associated with using muscles - (they get weak with use/recover with rest)

I'm on a diet and doing my cardio everyday - but the MG does not make it easy. 20 minutes and I'm hurting with weakness, I recover from rest.

You may very well be.

I'm not completely sure as to what MG even is, but I'll do a Google search.

I know what MG is. My sister had it for years before she passed away in 2001...so I understand what you're going through.

Did your sister die from complications of MG?

Yes, MG was the major cause but she had other health issues as well. She didn't take good care of herself. She was nearly sixty years old, a heavy smoker and extremely overweight. However, I have a cousin who also has MG, and as far as I know, he is doing well.

Sorry to hear your sister died so young at only 60 years old. I am trying to lose weight and be in good health to improve my quality of life.
