It was my understanding (based on replies to people posting upset because their blog disappeared) that journals are permanent, but the WordPress blogs will be deleted if the blog has not been updated for more than 45 days (although I believe that's ben changed to 30 days).
I assumed that meant writing in the blog, but perhaps checking and approving comments count as well.
Since I see posts by people wondering why their blog disappeared, I assumed the 30/45 day was accurate. Perhaps clean-ups aren't as consistent as the blog guidlines suggest.
Maybe a moderator will explain.
