Unhappy Dinner....

God ol TOM is here for a vist and i'm CRAVING asian food. I don't feel like cooking. I'm debating to give in to my craving or to suck it up and find something to make at home. Do you give in to your cravings sometimes? I've been pretty good not caving. Only a piece of chocolate this weekend and that has been it! What to do...

Default chinese food

I was craving chinese food for the last 2 weeks. Like a fool, I gave in and went to the buffet. It wasn't pretty....I ate too much and felt like crud for 2 days after. Why I do it to myself, I will never know. I go in the door of the restaurant promising myself to eat clean and on carb count...BUTmy greed takes over and I pig out. I would suggest a nice stir fry at home and watch the carbos. This is the advice I am going to post on my fridge for my next Chinese craving. lol Deb

My name is Ruth and I am a Chinese Buffet Addict! I cave a lot but usually go in determined to have egg drop soup and stir-fried veggies only. That sort of fills me a bit and puts the brakes on the fried and sugary dishes. I find a Chinese meal puts on 3-4 pounds overnight that takes four days to disapper!

Sometimes I do what I can and just make rice and stir-fry at home. It doesn't always take care of it, and rice is still carby, but this way I can avoid having something battered, fried, and soaked in salty syrup.

my family has been getting Chinese food the last couple of weeks... I've been good (I think?) and getting the plain mixed vegetables and chicken with brown rice and just using a couple of spoonfulls of the sauce... it tastes pretty good! I'm used to the stuff swimming in the sauce and white rice, but I'll have to get used to it this way. Hope I'm making a good choice and there's nothing hidden in those vegetables or rice...

I agree, after I ate the chinese I felt like crap. The rice and other food raised my b/s and it was just bad. I haven't done it since and will made smarter decisions next time!
