Welcome back. Meowee, I love reading your posts. I don't really watch tv, so I look forward to seeing what's going on in all of your lives. I guess you could say you're all my own little Grey's anatomy (i've never seen the show, but know several of you mention it). Anyway, sorry about your pup. I had to put down my pug a little over 3 years ago, and haven't been able to think about another pup until just recently. I have been researching shelters in my area, but don't want to jump into anything. I think you're right about passing on this pup. Since you already have a family, I would consider it too risky to introduce this pup in very much later. I hope all of you have a great week. I go weigh tomorrow, so wish me luck!

Meowee: glad to hear your kitties will be ok.
Had sleet around 4 this morning, change over to snow, then freezing rain. Right now its doing nothing out there. They're saying its the calm before the storm.
Husband had to go in early for snow removal at the library. He'll be tried when he gets home. Will have to find something quick and hot for supper.

Everyone have a grat Sunday.

Judy

Hi gang . . .

Sorry, but this will have to be fairly quick . . . I have to take Mouse in to the Vet to be 'pilled' since I do not seem to be able to get the meds into him.

Just wanted to own up to the fact that I did not make it past my birthday without overindulging . . . no chocolate or other sweets, so the BGL didn't fare too badly . . . but I managed to consume a good two days worth of calories yesterday. Lots and lots of cheesecake on top of too much Pizza. I'll be trying to stay in my low range for the next two days to balance things out a little bit.

Hope you did better that I did, Rosetta. Good luck with the weigh-in.

See you all later -- hope everybody has a great moving and shaking kind of day.

Just a fly by. I have been working a lot. I actually sold a vase! I was so excited. Of course, the guy who bought it is like a second son to us, single with a VERY good job and a talent for the stock market.... He loves the vase though, so it made me feel pretty good.

Same old same old here...

Cool

Hi, all. I'd like to report that I stayed OP all weekend, but my birthday needed celebrating and I couldn't turn down the champagne and deli spread that I shared with a friend as we watched the seemingly endless academy awards. My binge didn't involve sweets, though. Meowee, looks like you gave in too. Well, we're only human, after all. As for pilling the cat, a friend of mine used to wrap her cat's pill in some food and get it down him that way. You might want to give that a try. Sorry the puppy didn't work out. Happy mutual birthday!
Well, Now I've got to worry about the weighin.

Hi everyone!
Not having a great day. My left knee starting hurting bad last nite. More than the usually soreness. Now I can hardly put any weight on it. Can't get an appointment with the orthopedic dr till Thursday morning.

Aw, Creations, I am sorry you are in pain. I hope and pray it improves quickly! Does warmth, or cool help? When my joints hurt, warmth helps, and I will use a heating pad. I also find that ibuprofen helps joint pain more than anything else for me.

Oh Wow . . . So sorry, gang . . . I don't know what happened yesterday that I didn't stop in to say hello. Please forgive me.

MONET . . . . . . Congratulations. You are officially a practicing artist again.

ROSETTA . . . . . . C'est la vie, girl. We just have to do the best we can. How did the weigh-in go?

ROSEY . . . . . . Thank you. Glad DH is doing well . . . and you just keep doing your best, too.

GLEN . . . . . . Thank you, too, sir. It's good to see you. Hope stuff is moving along OK for you, too.

JUDY . . . . . . So sorry to hear about your knee. Hope the visit tomorrow will bring lots of relief. In the meantime, stay off it and keep the heat on it.

Now, as for me . . .

Mouse is staying at the Vet's at the moment. It took two of us over 90 minutes to get him into a carrier to go there and by the time we got him there, he was planning human-matricide, I'm sure. Of course, I was contemplating catricide, so I guess we are even. I refuse to go through that every day, so he his boarding there for the week because he really does need to get these meds into him. The other two are doing pretty good.

As a matter of fact, I was watching Purrecious running, bouncing, and jumping around the house and thinking how I'd be overjoyed to think I might feel that good within a month of my hysterectomy (hers was only a week ago). Mine is booked for June 7 and, unfortunately, will have to be done abdominally which means a longer recovery time. The GYN showed me pictures of this 'far from tiny' fibroid I'm carrying . . . it is about the size of a 6-month fetus. Would have liked to get this over with a little sooner, but that is the best we can do . . . all in all, three months is not a bad wait-time for non-emergency surgery. Anyway, I'll go ahead with the cataract removal procedures in the meantime. Strange how things always seem to need doing in bunches, isn't it.

Another strange thing . . . the way the human body behaves. Last week, I had the highest daily calorie average (2033) since I started keeping track 14 months ago . . . but I managed to drop .6 of a pound at my WWI . . . So all my news has not been bad this week.

Well, I'd better get going. I haven't had brekkie yet and then I've got to think about going out for a few things . . . although it is sleeting right now and the schools are closed and they are warning people about how slippery the roads are, so I think I'll forget about that little chore.

Hope you all have a great moving and shaking day doing the very best you can to keep things heading in the great downward direction. See you soon
