DH is a smoothie freak since getting his new blender for Christmas. He makes mine with frozen banana, frozen blueberries, cinnamon, non fat vanilla yogurt, a bit of non fat milk, crushed ice, and a bit of cinnamon. It is my fav. after a workout. That's the only time I drink them. I feel I earn it when I work out. Then, I don't add any activity points. I just have the smoothie and call it even.
We go to a farmer's market and buy cheap fresh fruit but then put it all in the freezer. This makes the smoothie consistency great without adding much ice if any.
Here are some. Most of them are all Core ingredients so I don't know the points, but it gives you an idea of what you can make.
Fruit & Fiber Smoothie
1 cup ff milk
1/2 cup ff plain yogurt
1 banana
1/ cup blueberries (use any berries)
1/2 cup Fiber One (this made it really good)
1 pack splenda
5 ice cubes
in a blender mix
1 cup ff milk
1 cup strong black coffee
3 tbsp ff sf plain yogurt
about 10 ice cubes
2 tbsp any davinci sf syrup (i use caramel or white choc.)
1 to 1-1/2 cups of skim milk
1 tsp instant coffee granuals
1-2 pkts. Spenda or whatever you like
4-5 ice cubes or more if you want it thick
All this goes in the blender.Puree it really good to crush the ice and its done. You could also add a bit of vanilla xtract if you want.

this can be done the night before.
Take ONE packet of WW VANILLA smoothie mix
1/2 banana
1/3 - 1/2 Cup strawberries
3/4 C FF Milk
put it all in a blender and blend for just a minute or two. If you make it the night before, just throw it in the freezer. Then, when you wake up, take it out so it'll start thawing out some. But it's just like a milk shake.
Blend:
1 large frozen banana (in chunks)
1 tbsp cocoa powder (0 points)
1 tbsp splenda
1 cup skim milk
Mango Ginger Smoothie
1 ripe mango, peeled, seeded and chopped
1 cup crushed ice

I was just searching for smoothie recipies to make with my DD. She is FINALLY starting to like fruit and since its strawberry season there's no better time to make one
I'm glad I took a peek at this thread. I copied several of the recipes to my smoothie list. I plan of having smoothies a lot for breakfast during the summer. This will help me from getting bored with the same 1 or 2.
I have a smoothie every day for breakfast or as my mid-afternoon snack. I usually use this combination:
- plain water
- vanilla favored whey protein (I use the kind that is hormone-free and sweetened with stevia)
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds (for additional fiber)
- optional: 1 Tbsp raw cocoa nibs, 1/2 Tbsp almond butter, 1/4 cup lite coconut milk
I also make my own iced chai latte by freezing unsweetened vanilla almond/rice milk (I'm intolerant to dairy) in ice cube trays, and then blending it with some cooled brewed Green Chai tea (by Yogi Tea) and adding a little bit of raw honey or 1 packet of Stevia Plus.
wow..I'm glad I found this thread. I have recently become obsessed with making smoothies and have one almost every day!!
My favorite: WW Vanilla smoothie mix, WW latte bar, Walden Farms 0 calorie caramel, ice, and water.
Tastes like a coffee drink at Starbucks but not extremely strong! Yum!!
I also like to mix and match the WW yogurts with different fruits. I always use the WW smoothie mix, I find it gives it better taste!!
A woman in my group sometimes adds Fiber 1 bars to her smoothies. I've also heard of adding a 100 calorie pack (cookies, oreos, whatever!) to make it more like a "Blizzard".
I go really simple on mine because I really do not want to add many points to my day. However I think that I may try some of these, anything chocolate would be great.
I do frozen fruit (it is a lot cheaper and works great), crystal light (usually the off brand in apple), 1 container of fat free yogurt. This is enough to feed 3 so it comes out to 1 point per serving for the yogurt.
