Chocolate Breeze Cups

  • From Low Carb Creations:

    8 oz FF Cream Cheese
    1/3 Cup Splenda
    1 cup FF Sour Cream
1/2 cup SF Chocolate Syrup [I actually just used some unsweetened Baker's chocolate and a bit more splenda]
    2 tsp Vanilla extract
    2 cups Cool Whip

    ---------------------------------

    1. Beat the cream cheese and Splenda until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and SF Syrup.

    2. Add FF sour cream and then Cool whip.

    3. Pour into 8 custard cups and garnish with 5 mini chocolate chips.

    Makes 8 servings.

    -----------

I love these because they "hit the spot" and are filling. They make you feel like you really HAD dessert tonight.

    Enjoy!
  • is that a 1/2 cup of sf syurp?
  • That's what the recipe said. I actually just used some Baker's chocolate and a bit more splenda....but then again, I like really DARK chocolate.
  • These were great, I just added some cocoa powder because i'm a chocolate freak. thanks!
  • This looks awesome!

Make sure you use Cool Whip Free...the fat in Cool whip is the worst kind...hydrogenated oils. Blech! If we eat the free, and not too much of it, we should be okay.

I have tried the SF choc syrup and been very unimpressed, though. Perhaps I'll try it with cocoa and also some SF syrup...I have a Peppermint Paddy syrup that tastes like chocolate and mint and is amazing!

    Thanks for sharing this, Sarah!
  • cream cheese?
is ff cream cheese allowed on phase one??
  • becod- yes it is
  • This is way to dangerous for me. I have a problem with cool whip, it calls my name whenever I open the fridge, a seductive siren just lulling me into eating it. It's like my brain goes into neutral and my taste buds and mouth take control of my actions. "Just a little bit won't hurt" Yeah, right. I've learned from my past actions.
    Sounds really good.

  • If you can't find Fat Free (only Lite versions are sold in NZ) will they still be SBD safe?
    These sound so good!
  • Not OK because of the hydrogenated fat. Check the ingredients.
  • would unsweetend cocoa powder work in these?
  • Yes but you'd have to increase the sweetener.
  • If you want whipped cream without the hydrogenated oil, make your own! You can buy heavy or light, add a little vanilla extract. It's a natual alternative. If you don;t want to spend the time, you can a natural or organic whipped cream in the freezer section.
  • Good idea, glowchick!
