Default A quick hello
I saw this forum and thought I'd introduce myself.

I've been having problems with depression for about 15 years now. I spent 10 years on prozac when last November I had a major reoccurance. I was so horribly depressed and had anxiety so bad I couldn't even go to work. After taking a leave of absense I finally had to quit my job this last September without ever going back.

I'm feeling much better now after starting to take Lexapro. I was also on Klonopin for a while but weaned myself off. I love not having to go to my teaching job anymore it was working the innercity and so stressful to me. I have been doing some tutoring which I really enjoy.

Having depression is such a scary thing. Even though I'm feeling somewhat better now I live in fear of having another bad relapse.

Hi Valerie!

I, too, have struggled with depression for a while. I have the same fear of relapse! I have been pretty stressed lately and am feeling the tendency of slipping...hopefully I can control it. I am going to the doctor on Friday!

I am a teacher, too. I feel really stressed at work - it is a very negative place! EEK!
