Hi Elle,

I don't know of anyone here that has mentioned self injury but I have known a few teenagers that did. I'm sorry that you feel so alone, but you are not alone girlie. We are here for you, and I'm sure you have people around you that must love you and want to support you in whatever why they can. I think people are scared of saying or doing the wrong things sometimes and shy away from people with disorders.

I was wondering, after looking at the things that you have been diagnosed with, I was just wondering...do you also have a problem with mirrors? and what your OCD issues were....if you don't mind talking about them. You can pm me if you would rather.

But the reason I ask is because my son has Body Dysmorphic Disorder - don't know if you have ever heard of it, because I hadn't before his diagnosis, but a lot of times people with this disorder are diagnosed first with ocd, social anxiety, depression, etc, before the correct diagnosis of BDD is made. Was just wondering if you also have a distorted image of yourself that causes you a lot of turmoil?

I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you, and hope that you will join us on the daily thread.

hugs & prayers,
Cathy

Elle, I think Tip is talking about our daily thread. Each day there is a new thread started where we all post messages. Today's is at...

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40444

Just pop in there and post a message.

Also there is a chatroom here at 3fatchicks. Look up at the top of this page, all the way over to the right, you will see the word "chat". Just click on that and it will take you to the chatroom. Unfortunately, there is rarely anyone there but sometimes we set up a time for everybody to try to meet and talk for a minute. Several of us are at work and can't get in during the day - but hey - ya never know.

hugs,
cathy
