Good Morning Chickadees!

Just saying a quick hello. We only have one phone line working around here again today so I can't stay on the internet and tie up the line.

Leens, we are also getting huge thunderstorms in the afternoons. Stay dry! Give the bambino a birthday hug from me!

hugs,
Cathy

Leen it is my cousins b-day too. Hug the baby for me.

Cathy we had a nasty storm come through last night. Joe was out cutting grass when the sky fell out. Kind of funny seeing him run with the mower like that.

I am leaving work today at 1:30. The countdown has begun.

Default Good Morning!

Good Morning Gang!
It looked like thunderstorms here this a.m. so instead of walking I hurried and did a lot of trimming and shrubs........one thing led to another and I worked 2 hours. It just started to rain a bit! Yeah! I will count that for my exercise today.

Now I will admire the shrubs and flower beds instead of WISHING I had time to trim them up!That always makes us feel good.doesnt it? We had a lawn work day at the church this morning but for once I stayed home and did my own!

No major plans for the weekend and I dont mind at all! We need more free time!

Have fun Leens at her party! Birthdays are so special at any age!

Have a great week-end you all. Count every blessing............don"t take anything for granted!

Talking morning

Hi everyone!

Well I have had a wonderful week....not too busy, hardly working...but the party is over!

Today I am hanging out with a girlfriend by her pool with the kidsand then hubby and I are going to Jerry Sienfeld in the evening. I work days Saturday and Sunday. The fringe is wrapping up and so we will try to go to one more show.

My aunt went on slimfast in May and has lost 25 pounds....along the way she fine tuned her eating....worked on portion contol, a healthy mix of fruits, veggies and protein. She is in her early 70's but very active and she feels so much better with less weight to carry around....she was limping due to hip trouble and that has stopped now that she lost some. She has slimfast for breakfast and lunch and has a huge salade, veggies and chicken usually for supper. She has fruit and micropopcorn for snack. I am thinking about doing the slim fast thing just to kick start my weight loss. So we shall see how that goes.

I am exercising 3-4 times per week and feeling good. I start back at the gym in Sept and am going to take a running clinic at The running room. My goal is to complete 5 k....we also are running for the cure In Oct at work as our manager is fighting breast cancer.

I am preparing myself for the back to school blues....esp the fact that dd11 is starting grade 7.......I am a bit down in the dumps.

In March hubby and I are turning 40 and I want to go on a cruise or somewhere hot at least and feel and look good so that is another motivator.

Bye for now!
