Received devastating news regarding our dog

Hi, This past week we have found out that our German Shepherd mix dog who is only 2 1/2 yrs either has cancer or a lung fungal infection ( hopefully this ). He started to have decreased appetite and weight loss starting a couple weeks ago. Due to this my son and Nali are staying with me in Turlock CA while I am still working out my contract. He is home at our apartment here now after exploratory surgery and a lot of lab tests to find out the diagnosis. We are both horribly depressed and my weight loss plan is on hold. My son was laid off his summer job in Lake Tahoe recently so he has set up a go fund me page for Nali to get some help toward the vet bills starting to accumulate fast. Link = www.gofundme.com/g0fejw. If only to share this link to any of your animal lover friends on facebook or other would be greatly appreciately. Thank you so much. We could use any prayers for our situation and depression.:(

Sorry to hear about your puppy (every dog is a puppy to me). Hope he pulls through this and all goes well.

One thing I'd like to suggest, although I'm not sure what method you were using for weight loss:

Yes, put the diet on hold, but still keep track of what you're eating. Just make a note of it somewhere. It only takes a second but it could be really helpful to getting back on track later on, and it'll give you an idea of where to start and what types of foods you've been eating. Otherwise it'll be pretty much impossible to remember later.

I've been there. It's tough. But you're going to be okay.
Best wishes for you and your son and your puppydog.
