Dee - I have 3 dogs, and because 3 is too many to handle on leashes all at once, I actually do 2 dog walks every morning, totaling maybe 4 to 5 miles of walking. This set up is a great way for me to sneak in extra exercise, so I can't complain. And living in Florida there is rarely weather that stops the walks from happening, so they pups are really good for my health!

A foot of snow -- I can't even imagine!

1- Dog walks; Ran 4 miles

2- Dog walks; Ran 5k -- First sub 30 minute 5k since I restarted running 8 months ago: 29:51! w00t!

3- Dog walks; Ran 5k -- 2cnd sub 30 minute 5k and 10 seconds faster than yesterday: 29:41. Feeling grooooovy!

4- Dog walks; Strength routine; Lots of yard work

5- Dog walks; rest day

6- Nothing thanks to a wicked migraine.

7- Dog walks; Easy biking ~1 hour; Ran 5k

I was a bit of a sloth yesterday. I did do 20 minutes of weight lifting and about 10 of stretching, but not much. I scared myself the day before because I had really bad heart palpitations that lasted for about 5 minutes that were exercise induced. I've been to the doctor several times, and had 2 EKG's and of course my heart doesn't act up when I'm in the doctor's office. But it's scaring me. I'm going to do my regular routine tonight though.

1-Circuit Training 59 minutes
2-Circuit Training 30 minutes
3-Resistance training 30 minutes
4-resistance training 30 minutes
5-Rest day (I was sick)

I swear I have the most boring updates, I do pretty much the same thing most days. I'd actually love to just run a 5k every, single day, even though it looks boring here in print, it is soooo satisfying.

Dee, I don't know how I missed your comment about heart palpitations when I posted last night! Oh man, that is so scary! I'd be nervous to do much of anything until they were explained!

Michelle- I think your daily 5K is awesome! If you like it, and it's working for you, that's fantastic!

The heart palps are scary. The ones I had the other night were the worst so far. It felt like something was doing backflips in my chest. I'll mention it to my doctor, but I don't know what I can do short of wearing a Holter monitor which I understand is very expensive. A stress EKG might do it, but the thing is that exercise only induces the palps occasionally and it doesn't appear to be related to anything other than caffeine makes them worse so I avoid caffeine now. (I miss coffee).

My P90X3 DVD's came in the mail yesterday, so I plan to start that program tonight. We shall see how that goes, it looks really hard but I did do the first P90X and most of Insanity (before my knees got trashed by all the jumping) so hopefully I will be able to do this. I need something to kick my weight loss up a notch. I gained weight over the summer and it's not coming off very fast. I do better when I do intense exercise as well as diet, so hopefully this will help.

I am turning over 10 lbs of ground chuck into homemade meatballs today -- does that count as a workout?

I sincerely feel like it should.

Thanks for the link Cupcake!

Hey there!

Dee- I get occasional palpitations in my chest too out of the blue or if I am in a certain position. I am seeing a cardiologist to get it checked out. Good luck with that.

For today, I will have walked about twenty minutes which is going to be both up and down a hill, I want to be more active but my ankle pain is kind of getting in the way. I started physical therapy this week, I've been doing some exercises, I have to keep up with that.

Once I finish PT I plan on trying out Aqua Zumba! I have heard that it is lots of fun and a great workout!

Happy Holidays!
