Arrow Controling It

Do you think its possible to control what you think about? Like the thoughts going around in your head. I'm so sad all the time I feel ugly and worthless. If something positive happens bad things follow I keep getting dumped and they don't even wana stay friends it hurts soooo much it sucks not having anyone at the end of the day.Its like I can't stop thinking about this one person who abandonded me. He made me believe I would have my fairytale ending yet he dissapeared with no warning. Maybe it is my fault for not having confidence or not wanting to take chances and believing everyone...im just all over the place right now I feel like I'm going to go crazy one day and just snap! I haven't had a meltdown in a few months and I feel it coming I hope its not too bad

There is a school of therapy called CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. It specifically focuses on exactly that - changing your thought patterns. Your GP or Pdoc can refer you to a specialist in your area.

It takes a strong man to stick with someone with chronic depression - my DH has stuck with me through the worst for almost 20 years, but I'm lucky. You will be, too - the right guy will come along. Promise.

In the meantime, don't settle for second best - you deserve the best!

Here's my take on guys......... If you signal to them that you aren't good enough to capture and hold their interest, they'll take you at your word and go elsewhere.

Stop telling yourself (and everyone else) that you are fat and ugly so who'd want you? Start telling yourself you are beautiful, smart, funny, talented, and people are lucky to know you.

Be positive. Yeah, I know - you don't feel that way. Fake it!

I know I'm new here, but something you said kind of jumped out to me...

"I keep getting dumped and they don't even wana stay friends it hurts soooo much it sucks not having anyone at the end of the day"

I can really relate to this...in the past, I would get into one relationship after another and I always got my hopes up and thought maybe this was "the one". They never were and I always ended up getting my feelings hurts and feeling really bad about myself.

Before you let anyone else matter, make yourself matter. Don't think someone else is sooo great and then talk or think so badly about yourself. Your first priority should be to figure out why you ARE awesome and don't let anyone else shift your focus from that. I know it's hard being alone sometimes and we all want that someone to be with and be cared for by, but that will come. And your relationships in the future will be much healthier and fun when you can see exactly why that person wants to be with you.

You should always be important to yourself sweetie. Chin up...and by the way, you're a really pretty girl so hush!
