thanks...my pedometer does calculate steps into miles so I guess I am ok, but I still need to push myself to be doing outside (or brisker walking) and be faithful to my walk away the pounds dvd to get my heart rate up.
thanks for your thoughts. have a great weekend everybody

I think my thinking was if you know you walk say 3 miles a day normally then your goal would be say 5 miles which would mean you would be have to add some activity to make up the difference. Which would mean you're doing more than you were doing before. Either way, Let me know how it works out for you.

2 MILES TODAy. I did the watp walk strong. I wasn't really happy with it. It is interval strngeth training and I am used to a really good sweat and all leg work involves lunges which cause me knee pain. So we'll see....Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I'm joining up!! Hi I'm Nancy age 44, I'm in Colorado. I have been a real slacker with my exercise. I walk 30 mon everyday outdoors and do yoga but I just do that for enjoyment and I'm not progressing or pushing myself. That walking is kind of my meditation/prayer time. My goal is to work up to 3 miles treadmill or elliptical on weekdays. While I'm at the gym maybe I could lift a wt too. I want to finish this 120 by New Years.

If each mile burns about 100 cal that would be 12,000 cal. And one pound is 3500cal, hey thats a lot of work for 3.4lbs. Oh well its good for my heart, maybe it will thin down my big ole thighs.

I love those watp takes, I did them last winter, but now my dvd broke. Gotta get a new one before this winter.

Give me some inspiration what changes are you seeing with this walking???
