Default Let's go somewhere

Alright, so I was talking to my friend who is staying in Wisconson for the summer, and he told me that he was 520 miles away from me. I laughed, then thought, that's only 20 miles above my biking goal for the summer... I should see if I can bike that 520 miles in a summer! So my goal is to bike 520 miles by the time he comes home on August 15.
I was thinking that you all probably have someone that you want to visit, or someplace that you'd really love to go.
So my suggestion is, for this challenge, post where you are travelling, how far away it is from you, and when you want to get there by. Also, will you be biking, walking, a combination of the two, or something else to get your miles?

The place I am "traveling" to is to a city in Wisconson, which is 520 miles away from my home. I'm biking on my exercise bike. I want to make my goal by August 15.

Each week, you might give a little update as to how far you've gone!!! Good luck and HAPPY TRAILS!!!

Jen

I'm up to 58 miles, and biking as I type this. Still the only one on the challenge. I hope you all join me and see where walking and biking can take you!!!

I want to go to Louisville, Ky to visit a friend of mine. So that is 287.8 miles! So, whether I swim, walk, run or bike ride, I want to get there by October!

Hello fellow bikers, how is the peddling??

gggbdomino, I just have to agree with your dad, lol, I used to always say "All the best people are born in September "

I haven't been a good girl and have yet to get on the bike, I had four sick kids however so I think that is a pretty good excuse (as far as excuse go) and I wanted to get on the bike tonight but guess who is sporting a temp. now..........that's right me!! Yucko, I hate being sick but I guess it was kinda inevitable. Hopefully this willbe short lived and I will be peddling to Halifax soon.

Hope you are all doing well.

gggbdomino, how is your trip going?? Mine is off to a rather slow start, in fact I finally hopped on the bike tonight and managed 11km which isn't very much but at least it's a start.

So that mean just 1148 more km's to go........I really don't think I will make it by the 18th of Sept. but I will give it my best shot.

Be back when I have managed to peddle a little more.

Hi there birthday buddy

Thanks so much I hope you had a Happy Birthday too!!! In all honesty though my birthday was not a good one. It marked exactly 1 month since my father past away and I spent the day getting things ready for my SIL's wedding which is today. Please tell me yours was a better one, it would be nice to hear that one of us had a nice day!!
